Things We Love: ZINGO!!!

I know that Christmas is still five months away, but Im always on the lookout for great ideas and really like to put some thought in way ahead of time, so I thought Id share one of our familys favorite games that my oldest son received last year as a gift. Zingo (http://www.amazon.com/Think-Fun-7700-ThinkFun-Zingo/dp/B00006408Q) is a lot of fun for the whole family. Everyone from my three year old to my 33 year old husband has fun playing this game! The premise is simple, and yet fun. The object of the game is to get all the tiles for your board and then you yell ZINGO! There is a red tower that has all the tiles in it and then you move it back and forth and two tiles appear. It might be an owl and a dog. The first one to say dog gets that tile and the first to yell owl gets that one. There are pictures as well as the word on each tile so if you have readers, early readers, or little guys who need the pictures still it works. If no one has any of the tiles, then they get placed back in the top for the next game. Each game card is double sided and up to 6 people can play. Its a really fun game to play when you have little friends over as the rules are simple and everyone gets excited when their board begins to fill up. It builds on reading skills, logical thinking, and social skills. For under 20 dollars, this game has lasting value and is a wonderful family game to add to your collection!

Product/Company Review- Clean DVD's

In this day and age with so much in movies being less than moral, my husband and I find that our selection of things to watch is dwindling. We rarely go to the movie theater due to the fact that if we're on a date, sitting side by side in silence is not how I want to spend the evening.

But, at home, we do like to watch movies and my husband found this amazing site http://www.goodmediadvds.net/ They do a wonderful job editing movies and if you are thinking is it legal-- heres how it works-- you buy the movie first and then they edit your property for you. We saw Due Date this week and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. One was new to us and we only noticed maybe once when they did the language and didn't realize what scenes they cut out. We have seen P, T, & A before and still-- amazing job! They cut whats unneccessary and leave the actual story content in place so you are seeing a much nicer version of the hollywood movie. It's been fantastic. Once you buy the movie, you own it and I would be happy to let someone borrow one of ours to see what you think, but I can wholeheartedly say that we have been very happy with it.

But, before you even check them out, may I recommend http://www.pluggedin.com/ Plugged In-- they do excellent faith based reviews on movies, tv, etc and it has been very helpful to us on what to allow the kids to see or even to allow us to check out possible movies to rent or see. Happy viewing friends :)

Product review-- drying rack

Hi-- i am so sorry that I have slacked off with posting-- it's a roller coaster of good times and bad times of posting :)

Anyway, this is one of my favorite things EVER and I am going to start trying to feature great products that save you time and money and make your life tons easier!

This is the amazing IKEA drying rack that can dry a HUGE load or two small loads of laundry-- it is a life saver! Why do I hang instead of dry? Well, you know me-- I love to save electricity and this really does save me time-- No going down to put it in the dryer, take it out, etc.-- plus the kids help hang the socks around the edge-- win win! It's also great on the wear of the clothes-- plus no worry of drying in a missed stain :D Love this so much and HIGHLY reccomend it:
